Small Business Programs
Programs have been established to assist Canadians to establish, expand
and modernize their businesses.
Funds from $20,000.00 up to maximum value of $250,000.00 can be used for the
following:
- the purchase or improvement of real property or immovables
- the purchase of leasehold improvements or improvements to leased property
- the purchase or improvement of new or used equipment necessary for the
operation of the business includes machinery, computers, vehicles, or
office furnishings.
Businesses may be operated as sole proprietorships, partnerships or incorporated
companies. Eligible projects must meet the following criteria:
- offer economic benefits for an area or a community
- demonstrate a need for financial assistance
- be economically viable
- other criteria may apply
