Emergency Repair Program

Emergency Repair Program provides funding to low-income homeowners and tenants in rural areas so that they can make emergency repairs to their homes in order to make them fit for habitation.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• have an income at or below an established limit
• housing must be their primary place of residence
• other criteria may apply

Emergency repairs must be related to one of the following:

• the chimney
• the doors and windows
• the electrical system
• the foundation
• the heating and ventilation systems
• the plumbing
• the roof, walls, floors and ceilings
